ANNOUNCEMENT
INITIAL DRAFT DESIGN REVIEW GUIDELINES
(POSTED JUNE 22, 2010)

Pursuant to its most recent charge from the CAHH Board of Directors dated January 4, 2010, the Design Review Committee (DRC) is issuing the first iteration of draft Design Review Guidelines. These draft guidelines are the product of several months of volunteer effort initiated as the result of Special Design Review Committee Report recommendations.

DRAFT DRC Guidelines 060910

This initial draft was informed by the excellent work of two subcommittees established by the CAHH Board, the Architecture Review Subcommittee and Process Subcommittee. Reports from these two subcommittees are posted below and are made available by the CAHH Board which has designated them "for reference only" and "not for comment".

Landscaping in Hollin Hills

Landscaping does not require Design Review Committee approval. However, you may find A House in the Woods, by Dennis Carmichael, a helpful resource for ideas about landscaping your Hollin Hills property.

Authors Note: Although most of the plants recommended in this 1989 publication are still good, please check for any plants that are now considered to be invasive species (English Ivy, for example) and avoid planting in your 2010 garden!
